Zero-Tolerance Policy for Restricted & Hazardous Cargo
Under Indian transport regulations, the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, Explosives Act, NDPS Act, and Indian Penal Code, DropJet Technologies (Proprietorship) maintains zero tolerance for the booking or carriage of dangerous, illicit, or prohibited cargo. Attempting to dispatch contraband results in immediate cancellation, package confiscation, permanent account deactivation, and immediate reporting to law enforcement authorities.
Clear List of Prohibited & Restricted Items
The following categories are strictly forbidden from being dispatched on the DropJet logistics network across all vehicle tiers (Bikes, 3-Wheelers, and Tata Ace):
💵1. Cash & Currency Notes
- Physical cash currency, paper banknotes, coins, and demonetized tender.
- Blank bearer cheques, signed promissory notes, demand drafts, or securities.
- Lottery tickets, casino chips, or gambling tokens.
💎2. Jewellery & Precious Bullion (Above Permitted Limits)
- Gold, silver, platinum bullion, raw ingots, or un-invoiced high-value diamond jewellery.
- Loose precious gemstones, diamonds, emeralds, or antique coin collections.
- Commercial jewellery consignments transported without statutory GST tax invoices and E-Way bills.
🔥3. Hazardous & Flammable Goods
- Petroleum fuels, diesel, kerosene, petrol in loose containers, or engine thinners.
- Compressed gas cylinders (LPG, butane, oxygen), pyrotechnics, and firecrackers.
- Corrosive battery acid, industrial solvents, caustic sodas, and toxic chemical biocides.
- Explosive materials, gun powders, primers, and fireworks of all categories.
🍷4. Alcohol & Intoxicating Liquors
- Commercial bottles of liquor, beer, wine, or country spirit without valid State Excise Department transit permits.
- Any alcoholic beverages in dry days or inter-district borders where excise movement is legally restricted.
- Illicit or un-labeled spirits and hooch.
💊5. Drugs, Narcotics & Banned Pharmaceuticals
- Narcotics, psychotropic substances, cannabis, and banned synthetic drugs under the NDPS Act, 1985.
- Scheduled Schedule H/X prescription drugs without a registered medical practitioner’s valid prescription.
- Steroids, illegal performance enhancers, or counterfeit medications.
⛔6. Other Restricted & Contraband Goods
- Firearms, pistols, airguns, replica weapons, ammunition, switchblades, or unsheathed swords.
- Live animals, birds, pets, poultry, reptiles, or carcasses.
- Human remains, biological specimens, blood samples, or hazardous clinical biomedical waste.
- Pornographic, obscene, or legally seditious publications.
- Smuggled, stolen, or counterfeit goods violating intellectual property laws.
Driver Partner's Absolute Right to Inspect & Refuse Shipment
To ensure safety on Indian roads and protect delivery pilots from legal entrapment:
- Exterior Inspection: Delivery pilots are legally authorized to inspect the exterior condition, packaging, and nature of any package prior to loading.
- Right to Refuse (Zero Driver Penalty): If a sender refuses to disclose cargo contents, or if the driver suspects the shipment contains cash, narcotics, alcohol, or hazardous chemicals, the driver has the absolute right to refuse and cancel the booking immediately with ZERO cancellation penalty or rating deduction.
- Police Surrender Protocol: If narcotics, illegal arms, or un-excised commercial contraband are detected upon inspection, pilots are instructed to report immediately to DropJet Operations and surrender the consignment to the nearest Police Station.
Damage & Loss Claim Process for Prohibited Cargo
DropJet strictly protects its platform and delivery partners through clear claim rules:
- Total Exclusion from Claims: If a customer clandestinely ships cash, jewellery, hazardous materials, liquids, or un-declared contraband without disclosure, all claims for transit loss, spillage, evaporation, or damage are 100% void and legally unenforceable.
- Sender Full Criminal & Financial Liability: The sender agrees to indemnify and hold harmless DropJet Technologies (Proprietorship) and the assigned driver against all police seizures, government fines, and vehicular chemical damages caused by prohibited shipments.
- Standard Legitimate Claims: For non-prohibited, permissible goods, damage claims must be filed within 24 hours of delivery by emailing
support@dropjet.inwith the Order ID and package inspection evidence.
